While strolling around the “calle” and “fondamente” of Murano, we are blown away by the burst of colours displayed all over the Island.
Murrines are amongst the most ancient and colourful technique used in Murano. They are sections of cane made up of several concentric layers of coloured glass. For this collection they are arranged on a transparent surface by rotation connected to the blower’s pipe.
We love the idea of bringing one of the oldest glassmaking techniques into a 21st century art piece.
